There are many ways you can help to give the street dogs of Targu Jiu new hope and a better life.
Most important to us are donations. Without money we cannot buy food, medicines, pay the veterinary or rental costs.
TEAMING
With only 1€ monthly you can do Teaming! This means donating only 12€ yearly and it is a great opportunity to help in little steps. Teaming can guarantee us a quite reliable monthly income of donations we can work with. And with a big team of teamers big achievements are possible!

So far, the biggest part of our work has been permitted by one-time donations. These are essential for an animal protection project.

We can always use contributions in kind such as dog toys or vegan dog food, snacks, nutritional supplements or medicaments!

TRANSPORTATION SPONSORSHIP
To transport dogs legally from one place to another in Europe they do not only need a valid immunization, a chip and a European identifaction card but also so-called “Trace papers”. To receive those i.a. the person who is shipping the dogs has to have the permission for a long distance transport and his craft has to comply with the legal animal welfare requirements. We do have a trustworthy shipper who’s payment depends on the place of arrival and the distance. The transportation of every dog costs around 50€. But according to the fact that the animal welfare activists that receive dogs from Strays’ Harbour within Germany usually already pay for the immunizations and many times also the castration, the transfer fails many times because nobody could assume the additional transportation costs.
With a donation of 50€ a Departure Ticket could be sponsored to enable a dog’s journey to a better life and a safer future.

ADOPTION
All the dogs are looking for a wonderful and peaceful new home! If you would like to adopt a Romanian dog in Germany please contact us.

VOLUNTEERING
We are looking for volunteers who would like to help us and join our team!
Volunteers are needed in:
- the team of the project organization, publicity and fundraising in Germany (or worldwide) such as in website design and translations
- Dog nutritionists and veterinaries
- Volunteers who would help on location for example in dog transports to Germany or also in provisions and personal caring for the dogs in the shelter and in the streets
